ETHICS
This is the proper business conduct between employer, employee and clients. The Cometology code of ethics is based on the golden rule: “DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT THEM DO UNTO YOU”
RULES OF ETHICS:
- Give courteous and friendly service to all clients.
- Treat all clients honestly and fairly. Do not show favouritism.
- be courteous and show respect for the feelings and rights of others.
- keep your words and fulfill your obligations.
- Cherish a good reputation by setting an example of good conduct and behavior.
- Be loyal to your employer, manager or associates.
- Practice the highiest standards of sanitation at all times.
- Obey all provisions of the cosmetology laws.
- Believe in the profession and practice it faithfully and sincerely.
PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE TOWARDS CLIENTS:
- Greet client by name with a pleasing tone of welcome in your voice.
- See that her personal belongings are cared for.
- See the client to her seat
- Study her mood. Often the client will prefer quiet and relaxation.
- Confine your own conversation to her cosmetic needs
- If she wishes to talk be a good listner.
- Never repeat gossips as this may cause your client to losse confidence in you
